Plot Summary

Star softball player, Lisa, has just been cut from the national team; Scholarly business man, George, has just been indicted from his father's company. With everything that they know in their lives taken from them, Lisa and George attempt to find romance. Lisa's potential boyfriend, Matty, however, is as clueless and perpetually single as they come, and George's girlfriend just dumped him. A chance hook-up through mutual friends, Lisa and George may be able to form a friendship, or more, that can help them climb out of the piles of lemons that life has handed to them. imdb

REEL Review
How do i know? I do not know. I did not know. If I did, I am not gonna watch this movie. Same old pattern and story. The love story is very shallow. I did not feel that 'something' between George (Paul Rudd) and Lisa (Reese Witherspoon) within the film. I knew they will end up together, but as to how to, I was not able to grasp.
 

With Reese Witherspoon and Jack Nicholson, you are going to expect a spectacular film. Owen Wilson showed his usual personality on screen, the cool guy. Big stars, big movies. The leads here are good actually. They fit the roles. But they deserve more than this kind of film. Story wise, failed. James Brooks must have added something. He can make an extraordinary film out of a common love story.

I like Reese and Paul better in Mosters vs. Aliens. This animated film has a better impact. You can feel the characters though voiced only. Because the film itself is a bang. But with How Do You Know, everything is lacking. Thanks to the casting, that just made people watch.
